What’s all the fuss about?
Having a root canal treatment done sounds scary, but it is normally much less painful than made out to be. In most cases, the sensitivity from having a root canal treatment done only lasts a few days.
What is a Root Canal?
A root canal treatment is done to repair a tooth that has become infected or is decaying. During a root canal treatment the nerve and pulp of the tooth is removed and then the tooth is cleaned and sealed off to help prevent the tooth and surrounding area to continue decaying or spreading infection. This process usually takes one or two appointments lasting around 90 minutes each.
At Mountain View Dental, our top priority is your mouth’s health. If left untreated, an infected or damaged tooth can lead to much more serious health issues.
