What is TMJ?
The temporomandibular or jaw joint is what connects the lower jaw to the skull. TMJ disorder is often caused by misaligned teeth, trama, or excess muscle tension. This disorder is often associated with jaw clicking, locking or clenching, and can cause tooth damage and bone loss.
